The National Chemical Credit Association (NCCA) is a national organization of credit professionals representing some of the top chemical companies in the world. Established in 1938, the non-profit Association was founded to facilitate the exchange of commercial credit information among leaders of the chemical industry, as well as provide continuing professional education to its members. The association is made up of two different industry divisions: Chemical and International. Members of the association can obtain membership in either or both divisions.
Making good credit decisions is dependent upon having the best information available. NCCA members can access the latest customer A/R data from creditors, receive expert educational training, and network with like-minded credit professionals. Benefits of membership includes:
Industry-specific credit reports
NCCA’s web-based interchange system, GoAmega provides members with A/R data on thousands of customers in the chemical, plastic, polymer, resin and affiliated industries. NCCA member owned data is timely, accurate, relevant and trustworthy.
There is a monthly report released to members called NCCA By The Numbers, which details payment trends over the last month. This report enables members to benchmark their individual results to industry data. A scoring model is also provided to members which shows a customer’s payment strength over time and compared to the average. Both of these deliverables are exceptionally valuable to NCCA members.
On-Demand Information
Flash Reports are used by members to find out the most current notifications of events that impact the creditworthiness of your customers — bankruptcies, new ownership, accounts placed for collection, NSF checks, and Final Demand are all posted through GoAmega’s system. Flashes are easy to submit through the portal, which allows members to view all (or just their customers’) notifications in real-time. The portal also allows members to push flash notices to their email.
Quarterly DSO surveys and member discussion forums are key benefits available to members at no cost. Webinars and other educational programs keep members informed about the latest trends in credit management.
Networking and Education
Quarterly meetings provide a forum to discuss historical credit information in a legal, ethical and confidential manner. There is always an educational component to the quarterly meetings as well. Each year, the NCCA hosts an educational conference where members meet for several days to hear educational presentations on relevant, member driven topics and roundtable discussions to discuss and examine best practices and current trends and conditions in the industry. At all NCCA meetings networking is a key component.
